Teach For Australia establishes Founders Ten network

Ten years ago Teach For Australia was launched with an ambitious goal: an Australia where all children, regardless of background, attained an excellent education. In the decade since, more than 830 of TFA’s outstanding teachers and leaders have been able to impact over 230,000 of Australia’s most vulnerable students.

But we know there is still much more work to do.

As our community shares their visions of education in Australia for the decade ahead, we are pleased to launch our Founders Ten: a unique group of dedicated and driven individuals who are champions of TFA and our mission to dismantle educational inequity.

Led by Teach For Australia Founder and CEO Melodie Potts Rosevear and Board Chair Larry Kamener, the Founders Ten will support our goals through advocacy, investment, guidance and advice. Their leadership will increase awareness of TFA’s work, and open doors to exciting new partnerships.

Among the founding members are Sir Rod Eddington & Lady Young Sook Eddington, John Wylie AM and Myriam Boisbouvier-Wylie, Jon and Caro Stewart and the Brasher Family Foundation.

Founder and CEO of Teach For Australia, Melodie Potts Rosevear is thrilled to have the support of the founding members.

“In ten years we’ve found many supporters and champions who are willing to back our work. Now we are taking this a step further and unlocking the potential in our network to secure greater philanthropic investment, overcome our barriers to growth, and pursue our mission with even more vigour,” Ms Potts Rosevear said.

“This commitment to Teach For Australia is crucial to educational opportunities for students across the country.”
