Industry accolades for Teach For Australia

This week brought some fantastic industry recognition for Teach For Australia, with news that Teach For Australia is a finalist for two AAGE Graduate Recruitment Industry Awards.

Teach For Australia is up for Most Popular Integrated Marketing Campaign (Public Sector), in partnership with agency TOFU, for the Tell A Different Story campaign which has helped secure amazing recruitment results this year.

We’re also a finalist for the Will Spensely Memorial Award for Innovation (Public Sector) for Teach For Australia School Taster Experience, which was developed to inspire students to join Teach For Australia. From this taster experience, more than 75% of the participants went on to apply for the Leadership Development Program and ten have received an offer to join us.

And in further good news, Taylor Clark, Teach For Australia’s Recruitment and Advocacy Manager for Victoria, has been voted one of Australia’s Top 25 Graduate Recruiters. The Top 25 list is compiled from survey results from some 3000 candidates who have been offered graduate employment with one of AAGE’s member organisations. Feedback from candidates who nominated Taylor mentioned her passion for her work, her support and encouragement of graduates, and her open and approachable communication skills – congratulations Taylor!  

Recruitment and Admissions Director Jen Williams said: “I’m delighted that Taylor has been recognised by her incoming Associates this year and this is testament to the positive candidate experience she has built with a large number of applicants this year.

“In addition, I’m proud of the entire Recruitment and Admissions team who have all worked incredibly hard to inspire and connect our incoming 2021 cohort, and show what an amazing opportunity working in one of our partner communities can be.

“We’re grateful to the AAGE members who voted for our submissions earlier this year and proud that we’re the only Not-for Profit in the list of finalists. We’re hopeful that these nominations help to further build Teach For Australia’s brand as an organisation that provides purpose, fun and challenge for exceptional people.”

The 2020 winners will be announced during the upcoming AAGE Annual Virtual Conference which is taking place Wednesday 28th to Friday 30th October 2020.
