01 Early Career Teachers Program

The Opportunity
A great teacher can have a huge impact in the classroom. Your role in the classroom makes a direct contribution to young people’s futures. Juggling the multiple demands of this new and impactful role can make the early years of teaching particularly demanding. At Teach for Australia we know that the best learning happens in the first few years through application, practice and reflection.

Who’s it for?
For teachers in their first or second year of teaching, who want to deepen their impact in the classroom by strengthening their teaching practice, and creating learning experiences that connect with students lived experience and needs.

What You’ll Achieve

  • Strengthen your range of high impact teaching strategies – Improve your planning, implementation and assessment to improve student outcomes
  • Respond effectively to behaviour -Build your toolkit of responsive classroom management strategies
  • Create positive learning environments – Embed inclusive and differentiation strategies to ensure all students feel valued and supported.
  • Develop your vision for teaching – Articulate your goals for yourself, your students and your school community

02 Emerging Leaders Program

The Opportunity
A great leader can help shape the future of the education system. Many teachers find themselves taking on informal leadership roles and identifying school-wide improvement opportunities early in their careers. Similarly, those new to middle leadership find themselves leading a team of their colleagues for the first time. Without structured support, it can be easy to feel overwhelmed and unsure how to lead with confidence, manage workload, generate buy-in from peers, and create lasting impact.

Who It’s For
This program is designed for teachers with 2 to 5 years of experience who are passionate about driving change in communities where it matters most. It’s ideal for educators who are stepping into or aspiring to take on middle leadership roles and want to make a broader impact.

What You’ll Achieve

The Emerging Leaders Program provides practical learning, expert support, and a supportive network to help you:

  • Strengthen Your Leadership Style – Build confidence and skills to drive school-wide improvements.
  • Lead change – Learn how to engage and build trust with stakeholders, influence decision-making, and build momentum to realise change
  • Sustain Your Impact – Gain strategies to balance leadership responsibilities with teaching, preventing burnout while making meaningful change.

03 Senior Leaders Program

The Opportunity
A great leader can have a profound impact in the classroom, within schools and across the broader community. In rural, remote and schools facing systemic disadvantage, school leaders play a crucial role in turning strategic goals into lasting schoolwide change. This requires managing limited time across competing priorities, overcoming systemic barriers and building trust with multiple stakeholders to realise meaningful change.

Who It’s For
This program is designed for Principals, Assistant Principals, aspirant senior leaders and leadership teams who want to implement meaningful, long-term improvements in their schools.

What You’ll Achieve
The Senior Leaders Program provides practical, contextually relevant tools and expert support to help you lead effectively, engage your team, and sustain progress. Participants will be equipped to:

  • Lead for Equity – Develop strategies to address barriers that impact rural and remote communities and schools facing systemic disadvantage
  • Develop Effective Leadership TeamsBuild collaboration and foster shared ownership of school initiatives
  • Build Stronger Teaching and Learning – Turn strategy into action by understanding barriers and enablers to turn strategic priorities into actionable outcomes that enhance instruction and improve student outcomes
  • Embed Sustainable Progress – Prioritise initiatives, manage workload, and maintain long-term impact
