Thanks to the generous support of The Hansen Little Foundation, Teach For Australia (TFA) hosted the second annual Jane Hansen TFA Alumni Awards online on 6 November 2025.
Since 2020, The Hansen Little Foundation has supported teachers through our two-year Leadership Development Program (LDP), with a strong focus on those teaching in Humanities, English, Arts and Languages (HEAL). Their investment helps ensure more young people, regardless of background or postcode, have access to excellent educators.
Each year, the Awards recognise excellence in Classroom Leadership, School Leadership and System Leadership, with $1,000 untied Awards available annually for five years. The commitment expands the reach of the LDP and amplifies the work of teachers and leaders working in communities where they are needed most.
‘Behind every student’s success is a teacher who believed in them first. The Hansen Little Foundation shares that belief so deeply. Their generosity lifts our Alumni and reminds them that their work matters, to their students, their communities, and to Australia’s future,’ said Jennifer Star, TFA Head of Alumni & Community.
The Awards also builds a culture of collaboration, inviting Alumni to share their stories, celebrate their achievements and highlight the impact they’ve had in recent years.
As a long-time supporter of TFA, The Hansen Little Foundation has demonstrated its commitment to education equity, championing teachers and strengthening the pathways that help outstanding educators become influential leaders.
‘Our foundation is driven by a desire to leave a meaningful impact. By supporting these Alumni Awards, we hope to recognise the incredible work being done and encourage others to pursue their passions for education and equity,’ said Vedran Drakulic, Hansen Little Foundation CEO.
