About the Position

Admissions Officers play a critical role in the selection of Associates for our Leadership Development Program, in order to provide our least advantaged students with the most impactful teachers and leaders in Australia. This role presents an invaluable opportunity to hone your professional acumen in hiring and assessing talent against criterion, whether that be in school leadership positions, or efficiently and equitably hiring talent in industry.

Practical Details

• Casual role required during peak recruitment season: February to November
• Variable hours per week – between 7am – 9pm, Monday to Friday with occasional Saturday work.
• Predominantly home office-based (assessing candidates’ online application, virtual interview, Selection Day assessments, transcript analysis and outcome and feedback calls with candidates).
• In person Selection Day component – physical attendance will be required during the day (weekdays, ~8am – 6pm), in line with Covid-19 protocols
• For those willing, some intra and interstate travel, however it is not essential to the role.
• Initial rigorous training will be provided, along with ongoing coaching and feedback.

This team is made up of adaptable support roles focused on Project Management across the organisation and Education support in Coaching and Curriculum. Each team member will be allocated to various teams at various times, providing key expertise and general skills.

About the Team

The TFA Support team will be made up of people with generalist skills and specific key expertise. Most importantly these people will bring an adaptive and flexible mindset and approach, a “can-do”’ attitude and a willingness to take on any important work that needs to be done.

About You

• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
• Project management experience (qualification desirable)
• A broad range of experience, including working in the for purpose sector and across a range of organisational settings (operational, programmatic, engagement etc)
• Expert facilitator and  great communicator
• Understanding of operations, procedures and policies related to the specific business area.
• Process re-engineering/business improvement/change management.

Through the Leadership Development Program, we recruit outstanding individuals with academic expertise as well as a range of skills and experience to become ‘Associates’ who commit to teach in an educationally disadvantaged school for at least two years.
