The Western Australia (WA) Government grant will support TFA to recruit
and train up to 280 new teachers in WA public schools by 2024, in four
additional cohorts of TFA’s Leadership Development Program.
“We’re thrilled to continue our partnership with the WA Government to
bring even more exceptional teachers to the students and school communities who
need them most,” TFA CEO Melodie Potts Rosevear said.
“We know teachers have the most powerful impact on students’ learning
but some schools struggle to fill vacancies or to find the subject specialists
they need. TFA helps ensure that students don’t miss out on the subject experts
and inspiring classroom leaders they deserve.
“Since 2015, we have had such strong and positive feedback from WA
principals and school mentors about the ongoing impact of the work our
Associates are doing for their students and schools and we are grateful for the
opportunity to continue.
“We thank the Minister for her ongoing support for our work and for the
opportunity to partner with WA again as we work towards our vision of an
Australia where education gives all children, regardless of
background, greater choice for their future.”
