Teach For Australia’s annual Giving Day has raised critical funds to bring more great teachers and inspiring leaders to communities that need them most.
This year, thanks to our matching partners TDM Foundation and Rokt doubling each donation, we were able to raise more than $195,000 – an incredible result.
TFA’s work is grounded in the vision of all children receiving a quality education that provides choice and opportunity for their future – and evidence shows that teaching is the most significant in-school factor that can positively affect student achievement.
The funds raised during Giving Day will support TFA to keep recruiting, training, supporting and empowering outstanding people to become excellent educators for thousands of students across the country.
“Each donation to Teach For Australia makes a real difference to the work we do – and Giving Day had twice the impact this year thanks to our generous partners TDM Foundation and Rokt matching every donation,” TFA Chief Executive Officer, Melodie Potts Rosevear, said.
“We are so grateful for the incredible generosity of TDM Foundation, Rokt and our entire community during this year’s Giving Day. We thank you for sharing in our vision for all young people, and for supporting the work that wonderful teachers and leaders do every day.”
Since 2009, Teach For Australia has recruited, trained, placed, supported and empowered more than 1,200 new teachers and leaders into the system – people like:
