Teach For Australia’s annual Giving Day has raised critical funds to bring more great teachers and inspiring leaders to communities that need them most.
TFA’s work is grounded in the vision of all children receiving a quality education that provides choice and opportunity for their future – and evidence shows that teaching is the most significant in-school factor that can positively affect student achievement.
The funds raised during Giving Day will support TFA to keep recruiting, training, supporting and empowering outstanding people to become excellent educators for thousands of students across the country.
“Each donation to Teach For Australia makes a real difference to the work we do – and Giving Day had twice the impact this year thanks to our generous partners TDM Foundation and Rokt matching every donation,” TFA Chief Executive Officer, Melodie Potts Rosevear, said.
“We are so grateful for the incredible generosity of TDM Foundation, Rokt and our entire community during this year’s Giving Day. We thank you for sharing in our vision for all young people, and for supporting the work that wonderful teachers and leaders do every day.”
Since 2009, Teach For Australia has recruited, trained, placed, supported and empowered more than 1,200 new teachers and leaders into the system – people like:
Rokt said it was proud to support Teach for Australia’s 2022 Giving Day campaign ‘Every Child Every Chance’.
“Education is so important, and we want to see more children have equality of education no matter where they live or go to school.
“Our collaboration with Teach For Australia aligns with their vision, that young people deserve an excellent, equitable education system, led by teachers who are supported in their roles—allowing them to help students reach their full potential.”
TDM Foundation echoed that sentiment.
“TFA’s efforts to achieving national scale for their leadership and educational programs continues to be one of the most effective ways to fight for equal opportunity in Australia.
“We view equal education as a foundational pillar for equal opportunity, and TFA’s approach is world-class in creating and sustaining new leadership and education in areas of inequality.”
