Submission to the Review to Achieve Educational Excellence in Australian Schools

Addressing academic decline and bridging the equity gap.

Teach For Australia’s submission provides our views on how to ensure adoption and implementation of key reforms across the system, and details our progress towards driving reform and our future potential.

On 11 September 2017, the Minister for Education and Training, Senator the Hon Simon Birmingham, urged parents, teachers, students and education experts to put forward ideas on the reforms that are needed to drive improved student outcomes.

The Review to Achieve Educational Excellence in Australian Schools, led by David Gonski AC, will gather a wide range of evidence and insights to provide advice on the most effective and efficient use of funding to improve school performance and student achievement, and to prepare students for a lifetime of opportunity in a rapidly changing world.

The final report and recommendations will be provided to the Government in March 2018.
